Automations in RAYNET are here! Put routine tasks on autopilot

Hold on to your flippers, this is big news! With the new Automations feature, RAYNET will take care of many of your routine tasks for you. Like creating deals, scheduling meeting follow-ups, or keeping track of expiring contracts.

What will you learn in this article?

Automating dozens of routine tasks

Automations in RAYNET are a tool that puts your routine tasks on autopilot. This lets you work more efficiently and have more time to do what robots can't, like building customer relationships, making strategic decisions, or boosting your results.

The first thing to do is identify the activities you regularly carry out in your CRM system. Then with a few clicks, set up exactly what RAYNET should do for you and watch the automation work its magic.

In RAYNET, we have created over 50 templates for this purpose. They cover a variety of activities ranging from customer care to lead management.

By using them, RAYNET can, for example:

  • create a task for a new lead,
  • schedule a meeting follow-up,
  • create a deal,
  • remind you when a contract is about to expire,
  • send a notification about a won deal,
  • add items to a newly created deal,
  • or send a notification when it’s a client’s birthday.

Templates

In addition to templates, you can set up your own custom automations. Don't worry, no programming knowledge is required. It’s as easy as creating a new deal.

How automations work

To get an automation to run, you just need to set up three things:

  • a trigger,
  • conditions,
  • and actions.

A trigger determines when the automation starts. For example, when a new lead comes in, a new account is created, a deal is closed, or when a quote status is changed.

A condition determines under what circumstances the automation takes place. For example, if the trigger is a new lead, the condition will ensure that the automation is triggered only when the lead’s contact source is your website.

An action determines what the automation should do once the trigger is activated and the condition is met. For example, create a task, send a notification, or add items to a deal.

Automation steps

How to set up an automation step by step

In the new automations section, you will find templates that you just need to click on, slightly modify however you want, and you're all set. So before you start creating your own custom automation, check if there isn't already one you need among the templates.

If you want to create your own custom automation, click the Create new automation button in the top right. Then set up the trigger, condition, and action manually.

Try it step by step by following this video:

Before launching your automation, let RAYNET test it for you. Click the Run test button. RAYNET will simulate the automation and:

  • alert you to any errors
  • or confirm that everything is working as it should.

Automation tutorials

Automations in RAYNET make a lot of things possible. If you're not sure if they can do everything you require, or you don't know how to go about it, we are happy to help. We have also prepared detailed tutorials with pictures that will guide you through the whole process.

Automation overview and execution history

It is possible to create as many automations as you want in RAYNET. Find them all in the Automation overview section.

Enable or disable automations using one toggle button. You can also see who the author is. If you only want certain colleagues to be able to create automations, set it up in the RAYNET administration.

Automation overview

In the Execution history section, see right away which automations RAYNET performed along with the start date, result, or the record it relates to.

For each automation run, the individual steps that the automation performed are recorded. This makes it easy to trace, for example, the reasons why an automation ended with an error.

Automation pricing plans

Automations are available to all RAYNET users free of charge, with a limit per instance of 50 automation runs per month

An automation run is every single automation execution in which at least one action is successfully completed. So, for example, if you have an automation that creates tasks for leads, RAYNET will automatically create up to 50 tasks per month. Automation tests do not count towards the limit.

If you want to take full advantage of the feature, there are 2 pricing plans available:

  • the Builder plan with 3,000 runs per month for $25/€25 a month
  • and the Architect plan with 10,000 runs per month for $65/€65 a month.
